The 5th Brigade provides resource and military support for the GA State Defense Force and GA Army National Guard.

Within the 5^th Brigade are the following units:

Headquarters and Headquarters Company (5th BDE HHC, located in Macon, GA) – the administrative HQ for our personnel. The HHC also run a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) and Initial Entry Training (IET) for 5^th BDE Recruiting.

The 2nd Battalion provides support to the following GA Army National Guard’s Companies of the 2nd Battalion, 121st Infantry Regiment, 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team:

Headquarters and Headquarters Company (Huron), located in Forsyth, GA

A Company (Apache), located in Griffin, GA

B Company (Blackhawk), located in Newnan, GA

C Company (Comanche), located in Cordele, GA and Americus, GA

D Company (Dakota), located in Valdosta, GA

H Company (Hotel), 148th Brigade Support Battalion Forward Support Company, located in Albany, GA

The 3^rd Battalion provides support to GA Army National Guard’s 179th MP Company at Fort Stewart, GA

The 4^th Battalion provides support to GA Army National Guard’s 1177th Transportation Company at LaGrange, GA

 

All units support other missions when called.
